The Fegen Area

The area you’ll be paddling in is a vast lake system connected by streams and canals. This unique setup allows you to explore the waterways and return to your starting point—without paddling the same stretch twice.

The region offers a wide variety of paddling experiences: glide beneath lush greenery hanging over the water, navigate small natural obstacles, or enjoy the majestic open lakes teeming with birdlife. You might spot an osprey soaring above in search of prey—or see a moose or deer near the shoreline, a common sight in these parts.

Fegen is also known for its rich fishing waters, home to species such as zander, pike, perch, and whitefish.

Just imagine grilling your freshly caught fish at your evening campsite while planning the next day’s paddle. All this to the sounds of birdsong and the sight of the sun setting over the still water.
